Dancer In Green

Dancer in Green was inspired by Dancer in Red. Dancer in Green built upon the experience gained creating and building "Dancer in Blue" and "Dancer in Red". To create this piece, annealed bronze welding rods were used to simulate the feel of a art piece made of string frozen in time and form. The inverted dancer was then placed in a ribbon like structure made from rolled bronze welding rods. This piece is less structured, less formal, and free form looking work. Instead of the powder coating, used on "Dancer in Red" and "Dancer in Blue", a bronze patina chemical was used to get the green coloration. A well lighted area will show off the full beauty of this work. The highly polished chrome plated base adds to the overall beauty of the piece. This piece would be great in a bright sunny atrium, an office reception area, or a well lighted nook in a home.
