Touch was commissioned by a patron as “Praying Hands” for a wedding gift. The patron in selecting this design stated “There is a palpable sense of love and energy being exchanged between the hands, and yet they are still so prayerful and graceful”.
It fulfilled the patron’s desire to have a physical depiction, of the love and joining of two people in the bond of marriage. Paul choose to use the smooth texture for the wife’s hand and a rougher texture for the husband’s hand.
